Open acoustic jam every Sunday at Dos Gringos in Carbondale
There is an open bluegrass/acoustic jam every Sunday night at Dos Gringos in Carbondale. Nelson and Julie have been kind enough to stay open and staffed for the Jam. It takes place 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Dos Gringos and Blue Heron Productions have decided to step it up a little, do some advertising and build up the jam. All skill levels and ages are welcome. We have some "long timers" to help guide the music and hopefully inspire the rest of us. Generally, the music choice goes around the circle and you can pick your favorite tune, or pass to the next person. Everyone likes to play along so bring some chord charts if the music is not straight forward.
We usually have a number of guitars, banjos, dobros, mandolins, fiddles, a double Bass or two, and a peddle steel player. Generally all acoustic instruments ( peddle steel excepted). We have been visited by Jug players, spoons, accordions, dulcimers and variety of other unique players....so use your imagination. Vocalists are encouraged to come whether you play or not but Chord charts are encouraged for the rest of us.
